Itinerary: Five-night
New Zealand cruises from Auckland to explore
the islands of Hauraki Gulf Marine Park, cruising to remote villages on
Great Barrier Island, visiting Kawau Island, and the beaches and coves of
the Coromandel Peninsula. Hauraki Gulf Marine Park was established in 1967
to preserve some 47 islands in their natural state, protecting the unspoiled
vegetation and providing a haven for the animal and bird life which lives
and breeds on them.

Cabins: 10. Six cabins have
balconies and either, king, queen or twin beds and TV, DVD, CD. Four cabins
have a porthole, one of which has a queen-size bed, and the others each have
three single beds. All are air-conditioned and have private bath with
shower.

Facilities: The ship carries a 6-seat
twin-engine helicopter onboard for sightseeing, heli-fishing or transfers to
vineyards, golf courses and other local activities. There are 5 expedition
boats onboard for landing guests ashore and sightseeing trips. Several bush
walks are offered that show the fauna and wildlife at ports of call. The
ship has a large aft deck for alfresco dining and barbeque. A library also
shows movies. Language spoken is predominantly English. There is an open
bridge policy.

nights, $1,200 to $2,500 per person double occupancy. Whole ship charter for
24 guests is $45,000 for 5 nights. Fare includes use of all excursion boats,
fishing equipment and shore landings. Additional charges for helicopter
charters and guided walks.
