The captain advises that although May and June are cool, those months typically have the sunniest weather and the best king salmon fishing with dramatic waterfalls from melting snow. June and July are excellent for berry-picking. July and August are warmer, with a bit more rain, and are best for silver salmon and for seeing brown bears. Halibut are abundant throughout the season.
