Itinerary: There are 4, 7 and 8-night explorations of the rainforests of the Amazon River and the Rio Negro from Manaus, available year-round.

Cabins: 9. Four cabins have bunk beds with queen-size below and double bed above; four cabins have double bed above and below.

Dining: The dining room seats 25 in a single seating. Cuisine is Brazilian.

Dress: Very informal throughout the voyage.

Facilities and Activities: The expedition cruises go on the Amazon River as well as journey far up one of the most remote and unsettled rivers in the Amazon, the Rio Negro, to explore in the far reaches of Amazon forest that have little or no human populations. The Tucano puts special emphasis on observing and understanding the flora and fauna of the rainforest. There are four to five excursions in small groups every day into the rainforest, both walking with naturalist guides and on launches. Groups also visit local settlers and small native villages. There are brief discussions every evening on what was seen during the day. Groups are divided into those who prefer a rigorous experience and those who prefer a more leisurely pace.
