Antarctica. Return is by ship to Ushuaia, Argentina; or reverse.

Itinerary:
There are 11-day expeditions to Antarctica going from
Ushuaia from November through March.

Cabins: 40. Cabins are outside, have
either queen or twin beds, private
bathroom with shower or tub.

Facilities and
Activities: Library, sauna, fitness room,
conference hall, laundry, doctor on board. There are lectures on board every day and
shore excursions with wildlife and cultural highlights. Guest lecturers
include geologists, naturalists, photographers. There are several kayaking
expeditions per sailing. Languages spoken: Spanish
and English. There is an open bridge to passengers. Antarctic voyages
feature albatrosses, storm petrels and other seabirds that escort the vessel,
seals, penguins, elephant seals, whale watching. The ship sails around the Antarctic Peninsula
and its
"iceberg alley" with large icebergs drifting north from the Antarctic. The voyage
starts in Ushuaia, cruising the Drake Passage to the South
Shetlands Islands. There is satellite email.
