- Facilities and Activities:
The yacht carries 4 sea
kayaks, a rowing skiff and 2 Boston whalers for shore excursions
and fishing. It has permits to Southeast Alaska's two bear
observatories, Anan and Pack Creek. Both are limited entry and
offer unparallel bear-viewing opportunities. Shore excursions
also often go to remote areas such as Admiralty Island "Fortress
of the Bears" where bears outnumber people. Cruise
itinerary is kept purposely flexible to allow for unexpected
events. Days are mostly spent whale-watching, bear-viewing, glacier tours, walking in rain forests, kayaking,
hiking on islands, cruising and fishing
for salmon, halibut, and dungeness crabs.
